Classic Cut

The cut that fills most of the chairs in this shop. We talk through what you want before anything starts, then work scissor over comb through the top and blend the sides so they sit clean without looking severe. Necklines and around the ears are finished with a trimmer so the shape holds as it grows out, not just on the day.

Skin & Taper Fade

Bald skin up to a soft taper, blended clean.

Whatever height you want the fade to sit at, we mark it, drop the guard down through it and blend until there is no visible line between guards. Low, mid or high, skin or taper, your call. The top is cut and textured to sit with the fade rather than against it, and the temples and neckline get a razored line if you want the edges sharp.

Beard Trim & Line-Up

Shaped to your jaw, edged with a razor.

We shape the beard to the line of your jaw rather than to a template, taking the length down evenly and cleaning the cheek line and neckline with a straight razor. The moustache gets trimmed off the lip, and everything is finished with oil worked down to the skin so it sits flat and stops itching by the second day.

Hot Towel Experience

The full chair. Cut, shave and towels.

Our longest service and the reason a lot of people book ahead instead of walking in. A full haircut first, then the chair goes back for a straight razor shave or a beard shape with hot towels either side of it, pre-shave oil, hand-lathered soap and a cold towel to close everything up at the end. Nothing about it is rushed, and you should plan on being here for a while.

Kids Haircut

Twelve and under, at their pace.

A proper haircut for kids who are into it and for kids who are not. There is a booster board for the chair, we keep the clippers switched off until they have held them, and if it takes three goes to get around the ears then it takes three goes. Parents are welcome to sit alongside or hold them in the chair, whichever gets it done.

• Booster board so the chair sits at the right height
• Cut at whatever pace the child is comfortable with
• Clipper or scissor work depending on the day

• A lollipop on the way out

Straight Razor Shave

Steel, lather and hot towels.

A traditional shave done the long way. Hot towels open the skin up, pre-shave oil goes on, then soap is lathered by hand with a badger brush and the shave runs with the grain, and again across it for anyone who wants it closer. A cold towel and an alcohol-free balm take the heat out of the skin at the end.
